VACANCY FOR STATE PROGRAMME MANAGERS

No Woman Left Out Initiative is currently accepting Expression of Interest and Applications for the role of State Programme Managers (SPM’s) as the program gets unto its second year. No Woman Left Out Initiative (NWLOI) is seeking motivated Women who are committed to promoting women’s dignity and quality of life, to support its mission of raising the active participation of Women in Co-operatives across the Country.

The five year programme aims to increase women’s participation in Co-operatives for at least 50% of Women across the Country. As inherently local grass-root based groups and central pillars of rural development, creating awareness amongst women on the emerging importance of Co-operatives as a form of social protection cannot be overemphasized.

As part of efforts in achieving our national ambition, SPMs in the following States are required namely: Kebbi, Niger, Sokoto, Taraba, Plateau, Katsina, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Delta, Kaduna, Bayelsa, Ebonyi, Lagos, Jgawa, Ogun, Oyo, Nassarawa, Zamfara, Gombe, Kano, Ondo, Akwa Ibom, Osun, Rivers, Edo, Cross River, Abia, Enugu, Anambra, Imo, Benue, Kogi, Kwara, and Ekiti States.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT (BASIC)

NWLOI considers as key requirements, the following;

Must be a Woman i.e. Women only.
Must be a confirmed member of NWLOI.
Must be a citizen of Nigeria
Must not be less than 35 years of age and more than 65 years.
Must posses a degree or H.N.D in any subject or discipline from a recognized institution.

OTHER GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be proficient in computer based applications.
Must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STATE PROGRAMMES MANAGER

The successful SPM will be responsible for providing leadership and drive implementation of the programme at State level.
Applicants must have sufficient organizational competencies to carry out task, projects by their own capacities.
Co-ordinate the activities of the State/Local Government Management Teams in the State.
Demonstrate organizational skills and strong track record in meeting deliverables and deadlines.
Proven experience in collection of data with strong research, monitoring, evaluation and learning component, including reporting, compliance, financials, budgeting and other duties.
Ability to interact professionally with donors, partners, senior government and private sector counterparts on policy and strategy including operational planning issues.
Demonstrated ethical management approach.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, take orders, assume leadership and make rational decisions while working remotely from Country-side.
Ability to work independently under pressure and proactive work style.
High motivation, initiative and adaptability in a challenging working environment.
Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing) and excellent verbal presentation and writing skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with partner organizations, networks, institutions etc.
Ensure that programs and targets in the State are developed, implemented and evaluated in line with national ambitions, annual plans, taking preventive and corrective actions where and when necessary.
